Yann Le Meur
PhD & Sport scientist

Yann Le Meur is a French sport scientist. He earned a PhD in Physiology of Exercise from the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis in 2010 by studying the performance factors in high-level Olympic distance triathlon. His main research interests focus on performance analysis, training methodology, prevention of overreaching and recovery (~40 scientific publications). At the same time, he is currently editorial member of different scientific journals (Sports Medicine, British Journal of Sport Medicine, Science & Medicine in Football, European Journal of Sports Sciences & International Journal of Sport Nutrition, Exercise and Metabolism).

The biggest part of his work is not dedicated to research but mainly to work with elite athletes on a daily basis. Over the last decade, Yann worked with several French Olympic teams for Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games in both individual (triathlon, swimming, mountain-bike cycling and modern pentathlon) and team sports (synchronized swimming and rugby sevens).

Since April 2016, he is employed at full time by AS Monaco Football Club as scientific advisor of the club – the team just won the Ligue 1 the last season (2016-2017).

Yann manages his website on his leisure time to promote what is new in sports sciences. Keep in mind that his infographics are only a snapshot of scientific articles, which do not represent a substitute of these papers. So, it remains essential to read the full papers! He hopes that you will enjoy it and that you will share the word.
