Every day she works in her clinical practice using the Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) approach and the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) approach.

For 20 years, Lucia has been an alpine ski athlete and a federal coach. In 2005 she completed her Master of Science in Sports Psychology blending her love for sport with her love for psychology. Currently she is a Lecturer at the MAPS Master in Sports Psychology and counsellor and co-founder for the PERFORMA training area of the Centro Studi e Formazione in Psicologia dello Sport in Milan.

She has written numerous journal articles on the national magazine SCIARE focussing on integrating psychotherapy with sports psychology.

Lucia is specialized in combining the clinical practice with traditional sports psychology techniques, because the latter ones, sometimes are not enough to ensure the best support. When such techniques fail is essential to target the treatment on the “person” within the athlete.

As a lecturer at Master MAPS, Lucia believes that psychotherapy on the “person” enhance the effectiveness of the cognitive techniques of sports psychology on the athlete performance.

She supervises many athletes as a sports psychologist, among the others are the 2018 Olympic champions Michela Moioli and Sofia Goggia. Lucia still follow numerous elite athletes in different sports at individual and team level.
