Gabriele Thiebat
Orthopaedic Surgeon, Head of Research in Sports Trauma c/o IRCCS Galeazzi, Head of the Snowboard & Freestyle Ski FISI Italian National teams


Graduated in 2005, he immediately specialized in the sports traumatology working in the Sports Traumatology Center of the IRCCS Galeazzi in Milan led by Prof. H. Schenenhuber. Since 2020 he has been Head of Sports Traumatology Research and a Clinical Researcher, focusing his interest on studies regarding knee ligament capsule injuries.From 2007 he started to follow and manage the national alpine ski and snowboard teams. From 2011 he became medical chief of the Italian Snowboard and Freestyle ski national teams participating in the Olympics in Sochi in 2014 and Pyeongchang in 2018. From 2012 to 2018 he worked as a doctor of AC Milan becoming in the 2016/17 season the orthopedic director of the youth teams.In recent years he has dedicated himself to “transversal” training aimed at the knee joint, participating as a learner in various courses for physiotherapists thus creating a daily work methodology based on teamworking. In addition, he participates in numerous activities of the Italian orthopedic scientific society as a speaker and member of the SIAGASCOT sports medicine committee.
