Diana Crognale
Biomedical Engineer

Introduction

Diana graduated in Biomedical Engineering in 2001 at the Politecnico di Milano with a study in Bioengineering of rehabilitation and prothesis on: “Uso della Gait Analysis in bambini affetti da paralisi cerebrale infantile: valutazione dell’intervento chirurgico ortopedico”.

Her background is based on biomedical instrumentation, bio-machine study and use, computer science, electronics, bioengineering of rehabilitation, biomechanics and bioimaging.

Diana is Educational Project Manager BTS Spa and is responsible for the training of the personnel operating both in medical and sports area (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician, Orthopedist, Physical Therapist, Sports physician, Strength & Conditioning Coach) and in use of highly specialized technology applied to biomechanical movement analysis (kinematic, dynamic and muscular analysis).

In her daily work, she develops functional protocols and algorithms for the quantitative and objective analysis of movement. She has been invited to numerous national and international congresses on utility and use of digital movement analysis for both clinical and sports area (mostly with hospitals and clinical facilities).

She previously worked as a Tecnico di Laboratorio for Laboratorio di Analisi del Movimento at the Ospedale Buzzi in Milan, where she examined gait on children, the elaboration and processing of data and organization of database.
