Course description

NOVA-DAY is a one-day course which purpose is to briefly outline the latest research in the physiotherapy field regarding upper and lower quarter. The aim is to set up an “open day” of interaction and brainstorming with physiotherapy students and newly graduated physios, through a full-immersion theoretical/practical day, in order to develop a critical clinical reasoning based on EBM & EBP. Moreover during the course will be given an overview on therapeutic approach and physiotherapy methods. During the course, participants will have the possibility to share opinions and argue about the currently post-graduate proposals in academic level, CPD courses and training pathways in Italy and abroad.

Course learning objectives

  • Outline the basis of assessment for topographic anatomy and palpation, kinesiology and arthrokinematics of the upper and lower quarter.
  • Present the current literature regarding the pathophysiology of upper and lower quarter
  • Demonstrate key treatment approaches based on the current evidence
  • To further develop skills of reflective practice
